On Saturday evening, we went to West Coast Park. The original plan was to have a picnic but your jiu jiu wasn't free so we gave up the idea of a picnic and went for a reccee visit instead.
The park was really nice and very beautifully landscaped. As you didn't sleep for the whole afternoon, you fell promptly asleep in the van and were still soundly asleep when we arrived. We decided not to wake you up and let you continue with your sleep while we strolled around the park. However you woke up just before we entered the park and was attracted to a stray cat and got all excited.
The whole park is like a gigantic playground. There're actually a few playgrounds all at one place, I'd say it is very impressive. We let you walk barefooted on the sand, but you hate the sand. You struggled to get away from the sandy ground and tried to climb up your daddy's legs. If not, you'll be holding on to me for your dear life. We purposely ran the sand through your hands and feet, but you gave us a "yucky" expression which amused all of us.
Your fear for sand vanished when you went up and down the various slides at the playground for uncountable times. You really love the slides. You also loved going through some of the obstacles with Daddy. It was a good bonding time for all of us. You kept dragging Por Por to wherever you wanted to go when we refused to listen to you. You knew she wouldn't say no to you.
We left when the sky turned dark. We'll be going back for a picnic one of these days. Por Por said we should bring a kite along so I am going to hunt for a pretty kite before our picnic. We'll also try to bring you there again on a weekday so that you can have the whole park to yourself. That'd be really fun!
Love, Mommy
Daddy helping you to walk across the beam
Love the way you look when you are deep in concentration
Sand on your feet
Dislike the feel of sand on your hands
Daddy, I don't wanna walk anymore! Please carry me!!
