Digital Scrapbooking

Dearest Nat baby,

Mom's friend, Ruth, did something amazing tonight to 2 photos I sent her.

Isn't this just so beautiful? I am very inspired by her and is thinking of doing a digital scrapbook for you. We can print 2 copies and give a copy to your grandparents in HK. I think they'll be very happy! And maybe we can put a few nicer ones in photo frames and hang them up on the wall at home!

So first of all, do cooperate with me by sleeping earlier at night and have longer naps in the day. This way, I'll have time to do a page a day. :-)

You got attacked by the mosquitoes yesterday evening when you were having your nap. Altogether 5 bites on your right arm, my heart really aches seeing those red dots on your arm. I curse all the mosquitoes in the world for you!

Alright, it is almost 1:27 am and your daddy is still hard at work. Sigh, a hectic work life he has, hopefully he can finish his work soon and come to bed. I'm staying up with him too.

Love,

Mommy

Teething

Dearest Nat,

I haven't been writing to you for a long while. This is how fast time flies, in a blink, another week has gone by. I try to take more pictures of you so that on days I'm too busy or lazy to write, I can let the pictures do the talking.

We discovered your first tooth 2 weeks ago. All we saw was a white line on your gum when we first discovered the tooth. In just 2 weeks, that single white line has sprouted into 2 tiny cute teeth. They are not fully out yet but I have already experienced the impact of your powerful teeth. You had bitten me a few times while I was nursing you and it was painful! I was taught to unlatch you and give you a stern "NO" when that happens and that was exactly what I did. However you thought I was playing with you when I said "NO" and smiled at me instead. What am I going to do with you?

You are eating furiously too, enjoying everything that we gave you. It is such a joy to feed you because you will wave your hands in excitment and show so much interest in eating. You are a fast eater and will protest if I'm too slow in giving you the next spoon. Whenever we eat, you will look at us greedily, wanting a share in our food too. Now you have learnt to reach out and snatch our food from us if we don't watch you carefully at the dining table. It seems like you want to eat the whole world by grabbing anything in sight and putting them into your mouth. I am sure you inherit your love for food from us.

Your daily meals consist of congee with pumpkin, sweet potato or carrot and fish. Gong gong is happy to find out that you love to eat fish (unlike me) just like him and has been buying and steaming fish for you. Fruits that you have tried include apple, watermelon, banana, honeydew and papaya. For today's lunch, I put a piece of pork rib into the congee and carrot to be cooked together. I won't be giving you the pork but I think the congee will taste more delicious with the sweetness from the pork. Your porpor kept nagging at me to make your food more delicious .. so I did!!!

Alright, the congee is ready and I'm going to feed you now. And... Happy 7th month old, my dearie! :-) See how fast time flies!

My furious little eater! In the bow is pumkin congee

Feeling very satisified after a good meal.

Complete

Dearest baby,

Your JiuJiu came back on Thursday night and I'm just so glad. It's nice to have everyone back home and knowing that all of us are safe and sound. I'm saying this because of the recent London blast that took place a few days ago. If your jiujiu is still in Melbourne, all of us will be worried sick.

At your daddy's suggestion, we brought you to the airport to welcome jiujiu back. Mandy jiejie was there when we arrived. She was happy to see you and stretched her hands out to carry you. We thought after seeing her so many times, you will be okay with her carrying you so we handed you over happily. Guess what? You bawled loudly immediately and didn't stop even after I bao bao you. Maybe you were tired or maybe you were just in one of your "I am scared" mood and it took you a while to stop crying. The same thing happened again when your jiujiu tried to play with you after he came out from the gate. What a lousy way to greet your uncle, my darling. Ha Ha!

JiuJiu got you a cute Koala soft toy with 2 little Koalas hugging the Mama Koala. You like it and "talk" to it. You sound as it you were saying "I'm going to eat you! I'm going to eat you!" coz after a while you started to devour the Koala. I had to take it away from you before the furs get into your mouth. Your JiuJiu also bought Mommy a nice blush from MAC. Hee.. he's a darling brother. The blush that I told him to get for me was out of stock and I told him not to get me anything in that case. Hee.. but he got me something anyway! :-P

We had a busy day yesterday. I got JiuJiu to be our "driver of the day" and chauffeured us to many places. In the morning, we went to Jurong East for yummy fish soup+rice and I fed you some fish. We saw a shop selling cheap "branded" clothes and I bought you 2 rompers from Osh Gosh and 1 blouse from an unknown brand, all for the price of $10! I am very happy with this find! I chose size 12 months for you so that you can wear them when you are bigger. You have too many clothes for your current size, you need bigger clothes.

After that, we went to Plaza Singapura to sign up for Maxonline only to know that our place does not have the signals for that so we went to Hello Shop to check out Singnet offer and then out of a spur, decided to go to Bugis to see if there's a better deal from Pacific Internet. In the end we ended up at Sim Lim to get an ADSL ethernet modem for the wireless network at home. We are still undecided on which plan to choose but our 2 computer experts at home had already set up the wireless network nicely. :-) I'm now typing this letter from the dining room table. Very cool right?

Oh.. and I also went to pick up my new passport from ICA and changed your diaper too. See how it was all ACTIONS and no rest since your jiujiu came back. You're still scared of Jiu Jiu. You like to play with him but you don't want him to carry you unless he has food for you.

Today is Saturday, and I'm here thinking of what to do for the day while your daddy is watching the News on TV. :-P

Here's a cute picture of you which I took last Sunday.
